Membership Plans.
Mingles has two membership plans:
A free membership, which lets you to post your profile, add your photo and voice message, participate in the photoChat rooms and the message boards, search for members, receive anonymous email from other members (and reply to email you receive), and use the hotlists and surveys.
A gold membership, which in addition to everything the free membership has, lets you also initiate contact with other members via our anonymous email system, use the advanced matchmaking and searching features, access premium chat rooms and message boards, and receive 100% advertising-free access to the entire site. Gold memberships are only $9.95/month for unlimited access, and are even less expensive if you sign up for a longer initial term.
We believe high-quality online matchmaking shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg. Other online dating sites cost two to three times as much as Mingles, and don't offer nearly as much fun or as many features. This small fee supports the site, enables us to add new features, allows us to advertise and attract new members for you to meet, and raises the overall quality level of the members on the site (the members who pay, even if it's just a small amount, are serious about meeting someone online).
Dating safety.
Meeting someone through Mingles requires the same common sense safety precautions that you would take if you met a stranger in any other setting: a bar, a class, at work, etc. Remember, you do not have to ever reveal your real name or email address to any other member until you feel you are absolutely ready. In fact, many members conduct their entire contact with other members through our anonymous remailer... never revealing their full name or phone number or email address. Many even arrange a meeting in a public place without exchanging any personal information beforehand. This will afford you the highest level of security.

Searching.
You can search the personal ads in Mingles in several different ways: you can browse them based upon location and age; you can do an advanced search with very specific criteria (location, age, religion, ethnicity, etc.); or you can look up a specific profile based upon a member's username.
Matching.
The matching feature of Mingles helps you easily find other members that you match up well with. These are members that meet the criteria you specifed as being what you're looking for, and for whom you also meet their criteria. It's a two-way match, and a great way to quickly find the members that you would most likely be compatible with!
Mingling.
Mingling is an exclusive feature of Mingles that you won't be able to find anywhere else. Wouldn't it be nice to find out who was interested in meeting someone just like you? While that might prove difficult in the real world, here on Mingles it's just a click away!
